Sparks Stadium

D.A. Hogan & Associates was the field consultant for the Sparks Stadium field replacement project. The project included removal and replacement of the existing synthetic turf surface at the stadium field. The existing underlying elastic layer pad that was installed in 1998 remained in place and required minor corrective work prior to placement of the new infilled synthetic turf. A modified edge transition to the turf anchor adjacent to the track was installed in order to provide a flush transition to the running surface. The existing track surfacing on top of porous asphalt was removed and replaced with new permeable rubberized surfacing and structural spray coats.
