Francis Parker School

D.A. Hogan & Associates served as a prime consultant for the multipurpose synthetic turf field development at Francis Parker School. This role included overall control of the site development plan, including new parking and pedestrian circulation areas. Developed on an existing site that was challenged for adequate field areas, the design provided a competition field for soccer, football, baseball and softball. The project includes provision for elevated portable seating for 500 spectators, removable goal posts to accommodate regular scheduled physical education classes. D.A. Hogan was responsible for contract document preparation for the field grading, drainage and field layout, and construction observation of all work items.

The field includes sand and rubber infill turf, inlaid markings for football and soccer, and alternate color turf for infield and sliding pit areas. Special stabilized infield mix materials were used for the pitchers mound and home plate/batters boxes to help minimize migration of the infield materials into the turf areas.
