Marshall University - Joan C. Edwards Stadium

D.A. Hogan & Associates was the field consultant for the Marshall University, football turf replacement project.   The Joan C. Edwards Stadium, which is home to the Nationally ranked Thundering Herd, underwent its renovation in the summer of 2014.  The scope of work included removal of the existing synthetic turf surfacing and replacing it with new infilled synthetic turf surfacing.  The project utilized the existing storm drainage.  Other improvements included the installation of a rubberized perimeter warning track.  The north end of the stadium underwent slope mitigation and was also converted to a synthetic turf surface, with a “Thundering Herd” inlaid graphic.  The stadium renovation was completed prior to the opening game of the 2014-2015 Football Season.
