Westlake High School

D.A. Hogan & Associates was the field and track consultant for the renovation projects at Westlake High School. The projects included removal of the heavily worn existing natural grass fields and installation of infilled synthetic turf surfaces. The fields include permanent markings for football and soccer with end zone letters and center logos. Synthetic turf warm-up areas are provided in the “D areas”. The running track and field event areas included polyurethane surfacing and an interior drainage system. D.A. Hogan & Associates provided multiple field markings and field event layout plans for review with the design committees at each of the school sites.

The bases were constructed with subsurface drainage and washwater systems with two layers of permeable aggregate. The track and field event areas include dual lifts of conventional asphalt paving.
