Burnaby Lakes Sports Complex

D.A. Hogan & Associates was the field consultant for the three synthetic turf fields at the Burnaby Lakes Athletic Complex. These fields were among the first of the new generation of infilled synthetic turf in the greater Vancouver area. The fields were installed over a permeable crushed stone base with subsurface drainage systems and include perimeter washwater connections.

This project included construction of three new full sized fields and a warm-up area. One field is configured for both American and Canadian football, soccer, lacrosse and field hockey. The two other fields are configured for soccer and field hockey. The total area of synthetic turf for the project exceeded 275,000 sf.

These fields are among the most heavily used on the West Coast.
