Oceanside High School
D.A. Hogan served as the prime consultant for development of athletic facilities Master Plans for two High Schools in the Oceanside Unified School District. Alternate site plans were developed for each site, evaluating current and future field and court needs for athletics and physical education. Cost estimates were prepared and a Phasing Plan developed for each site. In spring 2008 a bond was passed for the Phase 1 improvements at Oceanside and El Camino High School, with construction completed in fall 2010.
Phase 1 improvements at Oceanside High School included a complete new stadium synthetic field and rubberized track surface, a new lighting system, a new home grandstand seating approximately 2,650 spectators, a new 10,000 square foot multi-purpose structure constructed below the grandstands to house locker rooms, showers, weight room and team rooms, relocation of all existing temporary buildings in the field and track area and reconstruction of adjacent natural grass sports fields. A new plaza totaling 60,000 square feet was developed to organize and accommodate approximately 4,000 spectators.
