University of California, Santa Barbara - Robertson Field

D.A. Hogan and Associates was the prime consultant for the renovations and additions to the Robertson Field Complex at UC Santa Barbara. This complex is the primary outdoor recreation area for the University as well as serving as a home for several club sports. The fields are used for soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, field hockey, rugby, and ultimate frisbee. Our design work included master planning the expanded field space, detailed design and construction documents, and construction administration and inspections. The project scope included development of a new standalone lacrosse and soccer field with concrete seating, field lighting, scoreboard, ornamental perimeter fencing and walls, and a vertically draining synthetic turf field and base. The field construction included significant earthwork to remove a large berm and replacement of campus utility infrastructure. The project also included replacement of the synthetic turf surfacing system and field lighting improvements on Robertson Fields 1-3.
